(Los Angeles, CA, October 5, 2018, UMe) – The first K-Pop/Asian artist to debut No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart for two consecutive albums, the first Korean artist to have three RIAA© certified Gold singles, and the only artist who won Top Social Artist for two consecutive years at the Billboard Music Awards (2017 and 2018), global superstars BTS recently released their long-awaited Japanese-language album, FACE YOURSELF, in the U.S.   BTS is in the middle of their world tour that kicked off in Korea in August and, while in the U.S., has appeared on various TV shows including America’s Got Talent, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC and Good Morning America on ABC.  They also gave a speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

The group’s album FACE YOURSELF comes to U.S. retailers after becoming a world-wide smash upon its digital release quickly reaching the #1 spot on iTunes in 50 markets, and No. 43 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart with more than 27 million streams in just 48 hours after release.

 

They have more than 500 million views on YouTube for the music video of their single “DNA” from 2017, the first record established by a Korean group.

 

FACE YOURSELF kicks off with the Japanese version of “Best Of Me,” a collaboration song with The Chainsmokers. The CD contains the Japanese version of smash hits around the world (“Blood Sweat & Tears“ / “Not Today” / “Spring Day” / “DNA” / “MIC Drop,” and Japan-original “Crystal Snow”), plus the Japanese version of “Go Go” and two new original songs.
