30 years into a groundbreaking career, hard rock and metal forerunners Megadeth return to take the no. 3 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart alongside Adele and Justin Bieber.  The release of Dystopia (UMe /Tradecraft / T-Boy Records) marks the highest chart impact for Megadeth since Countdown To Extinction, which debuted at no. 2.  Dystopia is the band’s 6th studio album in the top 10, and 11th studio album in the top 20. Also, Dystopia is the no. 1 album on the Hard Music and Top Rock charts, and no. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart.

With musical architect and band visionary Dave Mustaine at the helm, Dystopia was recorded in Nashville, TN, and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold). The Megadeth lineup is comprised of new member Kiko Loureiro (formerly of Angra), David Ellefson on bass, and drummer Chris Adler, who took time away from Lamb of God to record with Megadeth.
