John Stamos To Join The Beach Boys As They Bring Their “America’s Band” Tour To The Hollywood Bowl July 3, 4, And 5

July 4th Show will also Feature Special Guest Mark McGrath

Los Angeles – May 19, 2023 – The Beach Boys today announced actor, producer, and musician John Stamos will join them as they bring their “America’s Band” Tour to the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on July 3, 4, and 5. Additionally, special guest Mark McGrath will join for the 4th of July performance. The show marks the second consecutive summer that Stamos and McGrath will share an LA stage with The Beach Boys following their performance at The Greek last August. Tickets are currently on sale via mikelove.com and thebeachboys.com

Stamos’ history with The Beach Boys goes back to the 1980s when he – in an attempt to avoid fans – hid backstage at one of their concerts and was invited by Mike Love to play the encore with them. Since then, he has performed with the iconic band on various tours and several occasions including PBS’ A Capitol Fourth special in 2017 and 2018, and CNN’s Fourth In America Special in 2021. He also appeared in The Beach Boys’ music video for their hit single “Kokomo,” and performed alongside the legendary group when they guest starred on an episode of “Full House.” Additionally, Stamos served as an executive producer for the Emmy-nominated miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family

McGrath also shares a history with The Beach Boys, often performing as their special guest at select shows, including the sold-out, second voyage of The Beach Boys Good Vibrations Cruise, which set sail in March 2023. Presented by Club Kokomo Spirits, the cruise sailed from Miami, FL to Harvest Caye, Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico aboard the Norwegian Pearl. In addition to McGrath, other featured performers on the cruise included The Isley Brothers, The Temptations, The Righteous Brothers, and RAIN – A Tribute to The Beatles.

Coinciding with today’s Hollywood Bowl announcement is the release of “Fun, Fun, Fun (Steve Aoki Remix)” out now via Capitol Records/UMe. The 2x-Grammy nominated, multi-platinum artist, producer and DJ’s rendition of The Beach Boys’ 1964 hit – one of the greatest anthems of all time – comes just in time to celebrate their 60th anniversary. The new remix commemorates the eternal sunshine energy of The Beach Boys, while accelerating the sound into high gear with Aoki’s pulsating rhythms and grooves. Last month, The Beach Boys were honored in the CBS tribute special “Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys,” which featured performances from Beck, Brandi Carlile, Michael McDonald, Pentatonix, St. Vincent, Weezer, Norah Jones, John Legend, and Mumford & Sons among others.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer continue the legacy of the iconic band.
