Cities, OneRepublic and The Wanted Highlight Brand-New “Interval-Training Workout” Package, Available August 5

Music is Geared for Low-to-High Intensity Workouts Separated by Rest Intervals, scientifically calibrated by BPMs

Los Angeles, August 5, 2014–World-famous fitness icon Jake Steinfeld returns with his latest digital-album fitness release from his innovative arrangement with Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), a division of Universal Music Group. On this new compilation package, Interval-Training Workout,  available starting August 5, Steinfeld offers a variety of contemporary artists, hit songs, hot remixes and BPM-calibrated tracks by some of the most in-demand DJs in the world, including Enrique Iglesias (“Turn the Night Up” Laidback Luke Remix), Capital Cities (“Safe and Sound” Disco Tech Remix), OneRepublic (“Apologize” Richard Vission Mix), Anjulie (“Brand New Bitch” Micky Fortune Remix) and The Wanted (“Glad You Came” Bassjackers Extended Club Mix). Among the top remixers represented in this collection are Kaskade, Richard Vission, Cahill, Cave Kings and Micky Fortune. This unique compilation is designed as a song-by-song soundtrack for interval training, which is a type of discontinuous physical training that involves a series of low- to high-intensity exercise workouts interspersed with rest or relief periods.

The Body by Jake compilations, first released in 2008, were designed as a soundtrack for every body and any workout, the hottest songs matching the right BPMs (beats per minute) for Pilates, cycling, walking, weight lifting, yoga, kickboxing, running, the treadmill, interval-training and any kind of workout in between.

“Our goal was to create the fitness version of the Now series,” Jake said, and given his track record in the fitness world, that’s no idle boast. “Great music travels. It’s amazing how energized you feel listening to exhilarating music. That’s why we teamed up with UMe, who has the best selection of music and artists in the world. Add the expertise of science from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and you have the recipe for success.”

Body by Jake Music differs from traditional “workout tapes,” in closely following BPMs in creating the timing for the movements. Each compilation is produced to match the level of intensity of a particular workout. When the user’s pace coincides with the BPMs, it increases endurance and creates a stronger and longer workout. The result is a compilation that is not only motivational but scientifically based.

The most recent titles in the Body By Jake audio-fitness collection include Ripped and Toned Workout (Lady Gaga, Fergie, Taio Cruz f/Ludacris, LMFAO, La Roux, Far East Movement f/The Cataracs f/DEV)  and Boot Camp Workout (Jessie J, Zedd, Nelly Furtado, Will.I.Am, Florence + the Machine, Avicii).
