The Game
The Game got his start in 2002 after releasing his first mixtape, You Know What It Is Vol. 1. The Compton-born MC signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment not long after and spent the next three years carefully crafting his Interscope Records debut, The Documentary, with the help of Dre and G-Unit Records. The 2005 album featured appearances from Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Timbaland, along with features from 50 Cent, Eminem, Nate Dogg, and more. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum that same year.
He would follow up with his sophomore outing, Doctor's Advocate on November 14, 2006, which became his second straight album to debut at No. 1. The album earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. Over the years, Game has dropped eight studio albums, two compilation albums, five independent albums, two soundtrack albums, 14 mixtapes, and dozens of singles, and has created his own independent label, Blood Money Entertainment.
