Aubrey “Drake” Graham is a Grammy-Award winning, Platinum-selling recording artist and multi-faceted entertainer. Drake has catapulted into stardom not only as an artist, but also as a cultural maven with October’s Very Own. Sharing the story of the thriving music scene in Toronto, Drake has built out OVO from a small-scale blog about his crew to an all-encompassing lifestyle brand, including his clothing company, his record label OVOSOUND, and his annual OVOFEST. Drake has reached great heights in recent years, and he continues to create and dominate the global market. After starting out on the Canadian teen drama series, Degrassi: The Next Generation during his teen years, Drake dropped three mixtapes—Room For Improvement, Comeback Season, and So Far Gone—before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment under Republic Records in 2009. The following year, Drake released his debut album, Thank Me Later, which was certified Platinum and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2011 came Take Care, which earned Drizzy his Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. In the following years, he released the critically-acclaimed Nothing Was The Same and the Platinum-selling mixtapes If You're Reading This It's Too Late and What A Time To Be Alive with Future. However, Drizzy's brand skyrocketed thanks to his record-breaking 2016 album, Views, which sat atop the Billboard 200 for 10 nonconsecutive weeks and earned him a No. 1 record on the Hot 100 with "One Dance." In 2017, his playlist More Life, went No. 1 and set a plethora of streaming records. His latest album Scorpion, a double album consisting of 25 tracks, broke Spotify's one-day global record for album streams with 132.45 million streams. As the artist with the most charted songs among solo acts in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, Drake has shown fans—and the world—he has no plans of stopping his winning streak anytime soon.
