NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Palladia, Viacom Media Networks’ elite high-definition music channel wraps up the summer with its sixth annual presentation of “Outdoor Week” – an amalgamation of the summer’s top outdoor concerts from across the globe. Beginning Monday, August 26 and airing through Monday, September 2, Palladia will give music junkies a front row seat to eight days of premier outdoor concerts that will cover the best of hard rock, indie and pop music.  From the grasslands of the U.K. to the gulf shores of Alabama, Palladia will take viewers around the world to the biggest outdoor concerts of the year.  Premieres will air each night in prime time.

The nearly 28 hours of new performance highlight shows make this year’s “Outdoor Week” the largest in Palladia’s history. “Hangout Festival 2013” Premieres at 9PM* 
With the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop, this annual festival kicks off Palladia’s “Outdoor Week,” festival from the Gulf Shores of Alabama. The special features performances by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Passion Pit, Kings of Leon, Bloc Party, Twenty One Pilots, Lissie, Grouplove, Best Coast and Big Gigantic.

Tuesday, August 27
“Hard Rock Calling 2013” Premieres at 9PM*  
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Alabama Shakes, The Black Crowes, and Zac Brown Band jam out in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, providing a masterclass in rock. Taped live at Hard Rock Calling’s new venue on the site of the old Olympic basketball arena, the artists come out all guns blazing leading up to the sunset over the velodrome.

“Rockness Festival 2013” Premieres at 9PM*  
Often referred to as the “the most beautiful festival in the world,” Rockness 2013 takes viewers into a thrilling musical celebration taped lived on the banks of Loch Ness in Scotland. This year’s festival features Ellie Goulding,  Fatboy Slim, Steve Aoki, The Temper Trap, The Vaccines, Plan B, Example and Madness, electrifying the shores that may be home to one of the world’s most mysterious creatures – the Loch Ness Monster.

“Download Festival 2013” Premieres at 9PM* 
This annual three-day festival held at England’s Donington Park rocks 2013 with a line-up that features some of metal and hard rock’s most popular bands: Iron Maiden, Alice In Chains, 30 Seconds to Mars, Korn, Slipknot, Queens Of The Stone Age, Motorhead, Europe and Rammstein.

“Philly 4th of July Jam 2013″ Premieres at 7PM* 
The third annual Philly 4th of July Jam celebrates USA’s birthday with the “Largest Free Concert in America.” In this 2013 highlight show, fans gather on Ben Franklin Parkway in America’s birthplace for unforgettable performances from top artists including The Roots, John Mayer, Ne-Yo, Grace Potter, Jill Scott, Hunter Hayes and J. “Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2013” Premieres at 9PM* 
The BBC Radio 1 annual festival returns to Derry/Londonderry, the same city that hosted the first of the two 2004 Big Weekends. For the first time, the Big Weekend extended to a third day. Saturday, August 31
“Isle of Wight 2013” Premieres at 6PM* 
The Isle of Wight Festival was first held from 1968 to 1970, with the 1970 event drawing an even bigger crowd than Woodstock. Since being revived in 2002, the festival has grown rapidly, attracting some of the biggest names in music. This year Palladia expands the highlight show to a record six hour block featuring Bon Jovi, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Paloma Faith, fun., Blondie, Willy Moon, Laura Mvula and more perform at Seaclose Park in the UK.

Sunday, September 1
“Glastonbury Festival 2013” Premieres at 7PM* 
Following 2012’s fallow year, Glastonbury returned in the open air to keep the 33 year-old tradition alive. Being the largest green field festival in the world, Glastonbury attracts over 175,000 people staying in tents, caravans and motorhomes at Worthy Farm in southwest England. The Rolling Stones, The Lumineers, Of Monsters & Men, The xx, Public Enemy, The Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys, Solange, Phoenix, Tame Impala, Jessie Ware, Elvis Costello and many more lit up this year’s stage. Mumford and Sons close the festival with their first ever headline set on the Pyramid stage.

“Lovebox 2013” Premieres at 9PM* 
This musical festival celebrating its 11th anniversary is a three-day event held in central London’s Victoria Park. The multi-dimensional festival’s highlight show features Kelis, MS MR, Lianne La Havas, Hurts, Jurassic 5, Rudimental and Plan B.

Monday, September 2
“Field Day 2013” Premieres at 11PM* 
Wrapping up “Outdoor Week” is East London’s trendiest music event, Field Day. This year’s festival in Victoria Park moved away from its initial dubstep-heavy years to welcome a wealth of indie talent and up-and-coming acts. Artists performing under brilliant blue sky and blazing sunshine include: Bat For Lashes, Palma Violets, Everything Everything, Kurt Vile, CHVRCHES, Animal Collective, Outfit and Thomas Mapfumo.
